The Fly By Night Club is about live music--real
music played by real musicians. No DJs, no sequenced computers--just
cats with their Mojos workin' .
The other guys hire musicians to sell more booze.
We only sell booze to support our music habit. And we got
the habit bad. We have no format--if it's cool, it's welcome
in Spenard. Some of the national guys who have played at The
Fly By Night Club include:

There have been millions
of incredible moments, but Brownie McGee took the cake when
he sang the ultimate prize-winning verse in Spenard history:
"I wanna be your lover; I don't
wanna be your boss.
I wanna be your lover; I don't wanna be your boss.
I'll stick as close to you, as Jesus stuck to the cross."
The audience was stunned! And we can't even
repeat this story without seeking refuge from the lightening
strike that we know is on the way!
After the show there's always live rockin' dance
music--blues, R & B, swing, ska, zydeco, rockabilly--style
is not important as long as the groove reigns supreme! There
is usually no cover charge for dancing which starts about
10:30 pm.
