"The Whale Fat Follies"
is a combination of theater, rock & roll, comedy, and
multi-media photography that was developed here in Anchorage,
The last time we counted, there were 903 laughs in a night
at "The Follies."
The Pathology and Laboratory
Medicine department at Loma Linda University in California
recently found that an average adult laughs only 15 times
per day, and that 3.5 calories are consumed by every laugh.
Therefore:
A night at "The Follies" provides
the audience with over a 60 day supply of laughs!!
And in 16 years, "The Follies" has
provided Anchorage with 451,500,000 laughs!!
This translates
to a total weight loss of 451,399.40 pounds!!
